Open Access Policy

Andean Journal of Educational and Learning operates under the Gold Open Access model. All published articles are immediately and freely available to any reader worldwide, with no embargo periods or subscription requirements. Reading, downloading, redistribution, and reuse are completely free.

Authors pay an article processing charge (APC) of USD 250 upon manuscript acceptance. The scientific evaluation is completely independent of the author's financial situation. During inaugural waiver periods, the APC is USD 0.

Copyright Policy

Authors retain copyright of their work. By publishing in this journal, they grant the right of first publication. All articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, which permits sharing, redistribution, and adaptation for any purpose, including commercial use, provided appropriate credit is given to the original author.

Peer Review Policy

All manuscripts are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process by at least two independent external reviewers. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final editorial decision based on reviewer reports. Possible decisions are: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject.

Simultaneous Submission Policy

Manuscripts under simultaneous consideration at another journal are not accepted. Submission to this journal implies that the work has not been previously published and is not being evaluated elsewhere. Non-compliance may result in immediate rejection or article retraction.

Retraction and Correction Policy

The journal publishes corrections (errata) when minor errors are detected that do not affect conclusions. Articles may be retracted in cases of data fabrication or falsification, plagiarism, invalid authorship, duplicate publication, or serious ethical misconduct. Self-Archiving Policy

Authors may deposit the preprint version in open access repositories before or during submission. After acceptance, they may deposit the accepted version in institutional repositories. The final published PDF may be freely shared on any platform under the CC BY 4.0 license. There is no embargo period.

Data Availability Policy

All published articles must include a Data Availability Statement indicating where the data supporting reported results can be found. Authors are encouraged to deposit data in recognized open access repositories such as Zenodo, Figshare, or OSF.

Conflict of Interest Policy

Authors, editors, and reviewers must declare any financial, institutional, or personal conflict of interest that may influence the work or the editorial process. Authors who fail to declare relevant conflicts may be subject to correction or retraction.

Artificial Intelligence Use Policy

The use of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools in writing, analysis, or data generation must be explicitly declared in the Acknowledgments section. GenAI tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all content generated with GenAI assistance.

Marketing and Advertising Policy

Andean Journals does not accept sponsored content or paid advertising. Editorial decisions are not influenced by any external party. The journal may share news and updates about its publications through official channels, but these communications do not contain third-party promotional content.
