Abstract
This editorial announces the founding of the Andean Journal of Engineering Sciences (AJES), an independent journal created in Bolivia to address three problems limiting the international reach of Bolivian science: restricted access from abroad, limited visibility in international indexes, and editorial dependence on university leadership. (AJES) aims to offer a sustainable, rigorous platform for both researchers trained and working in Bolivia and Bolivians returning from abroad, with an explicit roadmap toward international indexation.
